Executive Director

A WORD ABOUT KAY KENDALL:

Kay Kendall enjoys a career that spans thirty plus years in the non-profit sector.  Kendall began in 1980 as a fund development officer and progressed over the years to association management. She served as executive director of the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce from 2004 to 2008 and most recently owns and manages Champagne!INC, an event design and production company. In addition to years of fund development and non-profit management experience, Kendall brings knowledge of Kane, DuPage and Cook County donor communities as well as creative and visionary thinking to her position as Executive Director of the St. Charles Singers.

Through the planning of numerous events over the years, Kendall has engaged and worked with notable keynote speakers and entertainers including Chef Charlie Trotter, The Honorable Andrew Young, former Mayor of Atlanta, former Secretary of The Department of the Interior Manuel Lujan, Jr., the Ramsey Lewis Trio and Lonnie Brooks among others.

Kendall has a life long love of music, especially choral music.  As a teenager and young adult she sang in school and church choirs.  Though her days of singing have long since ended she continues to support choral music as a member of the board of directors of Anima Young Singers of Greater Chicago and as the Executive Director for SCS.

Kendall and her husband Ed are long time residents of Glen Ellyn, Illinois where they enjoy regular “return” visits from their young adult children.
